Questions
Which apps does the GPX file work with?
OsmAnd (Android/iOS, free), Gaia GPS (iOS/Android, freemium), Maps.me (free), Komoot, and any Garmin GPS device. The file follows the GPX 1.1 standard. A short setup guide is included in the kit.
Is the PDF guide different from the free guide on the site?
The content is the same — the free online version will always have the full itinerary, permits, and safety information. The PDF is a print-formatted version, designed to be readable offline without a screen. Think of it as the physical guidebook equivalent.
How accurate are the GPS waypoints?
The waypoints are compiled from the OpenStreetMap trail network and cross-referenced against the 2025/26 ACAP teahouse register. They mark teahouses, trail junctions, permit checkpoints, helicopter landing zones, and water sources. GPS accuracy is ±15m — sufficient for trail navigation. Always carry the PDF as a backup.
What payment methods are accepted?
The kit is delivered through Gumroad, which accepts cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal, and UPI. You don't need a Gumroad account — checkout as a guest.
Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied?
Yes — email hello@thesolotrail.com within 7 days of purchase and we'll refund in full, no questions asked.
